Founder story Sizzling Good

As a child, partly raised in the United States, I was fascinated by how easy it was to get a warm, tasty meal on the go. In Florida, we often stopped at Burger King – something that didn’t exist in the Netherlands at the time. It was fast, flavorful, and exciting.

Years later, back in the Netherlands, I watched McDonald’s and KFC expand rapidly. But a healthy alternative? It never came. And that surprised me.

Because the key to fast food is clear: location, availability, convenience – and taste. I believe that can be healthy too. And now, in an era of breakthroughs in new proteins and cultivated meat, the time has come to do it differently.

I’ve always loved animals – and at the same time, I enjoy a juicy burger. I’ve never understood how easily we accept the way animals are treated in our food system: the diseases in factory farms, the routine use of antibiotics and hormones.

Organic meat is a valuable step forward – and it can coexist with new forms of protein. But factory farming? It’s time for that to become a thing of the past. It’s time to return animals to their rightful place in nature.

Sizzling Good Fastfoodis a Dutch brand created to make that difference. Not in some distant future, but right now – with the best options to help people get used to good food: tasty, accessible, and better for the planet. That might mean plant-based today, responsibly produced meat tomorrow, or a gradual mix in between. What matters is progress – not perfection – and building a future people actually want to be part of.

If you look at my personal journey, I’ve always believed that work should fit your life – in every phase. Twenty years ago, I developed the vision Relink Life and Work, inspired by real farmers who blend life and labor with passion and respect for nature.

That vision led me to start Projectteamwork, helping people do meaningful work with energy and purpose. Government agencies embraced the idea. Because I believe: change doesn’t happen by talking about it – it happens by doing it.

And that’s what I’m doing now.

The idea of healthy fast food has been with me for years. Now that the technology and the market are ready, the moment has come. With a brand built for growth, flavor, and impact.
